FNSI

A few weeks ago I signed up for the 2014 Designer Mystery BOM over at Fat Quarter's. I think I got hold of the very last one, and now I've got the first 2 blocks. I love the fabrics!
That was what my intention was to sew on for FNSI organised by Wendy. Go check out what everyone else was working on HERE.
The weather was too nice to be getting inside, and suddenly the phone rings and I'm invited to a barbeque. Well, what would you have done? I went to the barbeque!
Saturday morning I started cutting the fabrics but I'm sorry to say I haven't sewn a stitch. I've spent all weekend in the lake (could have) taking long swims and spent the rest of the time outside. Actually doing some knitting before it got too warm.
I have had the best of weekends and only have one more week to work before my holiday. Yay!

Summer!

This last week it has really been summer with temperatures up to 30 deg. and sun all day long!
As you may know I'm in the 12 inch Mini club hosted by Cheryll, and the theme now was summer. I sent to Florence and she has received it and tells me she loves it, lucky for me!
This is what was in the package.
Now I'm waiting for mine to arrive, excited to see who it is from!

A week late

I was supposed to post this a week ago but I'm having BIG issues with my computer. This is the first time it really starts when I try to switch it on. I guess I have to get a new one!
And I needed to write a post about the FNwF I joined in last friday night. Thanks Cheryll for organizing us all!
I started the night with making another bottle bag to give to a friend on her birthday. It was well received!

For the rest of the night I was working on two 12" blocks for a swap with Kerry in the QBSA.
You just get to see a sneak peek of them, I don't want to spoil the surprise for  Kerry. It's the Scrapbagger and Goose creek block.

And last a photo of my Honeysuckle, it smells divine!

Where did June go?

I don't understand where the time flies?
It's the first and then it's the last day of the month again, nothing in the between it seems.
I'm knitting a lot but no photos yet, have to get a decent photographer to come and visit because when I ask my sons to do it they just snap a pic and wants to get on with whatever they are doing. Usually it's working on their cars so I don't want to be too close to them, avoiding to get any stains on my work. That's why I dont have anything knitted to show you.

But I was in a Mug Rug swap some time ago and was partnered with Michelle from the US. And boy was she spoiling me with theese beautiful mug rugs along with patterns, fabrics, needle case and a fridge magnet! Thank you so much Michelle I love it all!

This is what I sent to her, the two mug rugs, some fabrics with a ribbon and a pin cushion and a chocolate bar.

Here you can see the pin cushion a bit better...... I think I need to make one for myself! Because the bird pin cushion I made for me flied away to live with my daughter.
