July already

but still waiting for the summer to arrive. So I've knitted another shawl, an Annis and this is my second one but in a very different yarn than before. The other one was knitted in a quite thick yarn of cotton and silk and this time I knitted in a lace yarn. I'm very pleased with this one too and it's really needed around my neck. Still waiting for the sun and warmth to come! Maybe if I repeat it often enogh it will come.

And have you seen such a sweetie that smells so lovely, but be aware of all the thorns!

Yesterday

Was the Friday Night Sew In hosted by Heidi and Bobbi.
I didn't do much of the sewing I intended to do.
But I finished two pair of crocheted mittens a lady ordered in Januari. She wanted them to be ready before Midsummer. So they're ready to be delivered just on time!

OASS winter

I joined in on the fun in Cheryll's Once A Season Swap. And since Cheryll is from Australia it's reflecting the winter season.
My swap partner was Judith from Germany (no blog), and these are the lovely gifts I received. A scarf, a pincushion with a beautiful embroidery and some tea.

For Judith I sent 2 mug rugs with a snow man in the middle, a pin cushion to hang over the sofa's armrest and some tea.
I do like the snowmen myself, so I guess I have to make some for me too!

Graduation!

Tomorrow is my DS#1's graduation day from high school.
This is what I will hang around his neck.

I hope the weather will be better and nothing like the last days when it has been raining off and on the whole day long.



I have knitted a new shawl, Euphrosyne.
It was an easy knit and has caught a lot of tears and thoughts. Knitted in Navia Uno, a really soft wool yarn from the Faroe Islands.
I do like it a lot!

My brother!

In the beginning of May I lost my brother Johan in an accident. And it feels like the world is going under. He had just turned 47 and was my only sibling. All the memories from growing up together was just ours, there's no one else to share them with any longer.
The sadness is overwhelming, for my sister in law and their two children, my parents, me and my children.


Do take care about each other, and take  the time to do those things you're always talking about.

Nu har bingospelet börjat!
Jag hade två av dagens utrop (båt och vindruvor). Så jag kunde sy fast två knappar.
Det ger sig om jag hinner få bingo före någon annan.

SWOON #5

Jag kanske är i ett flyt nu. Har en kvar att sy (redan börjat), sen måste jag skära igen. Jag tycker det är det tråkigaste i arbetsgången.
Och tänk att det kan lyckas med hörnen ibland!

Valborgsmässoafton 2012

Det blev en härlig dag med underbart väder, och ett roligt kuvert i brevlåden!
Kuvertet kom från Tonya at Hillbilly Handiworks och innehållet var en vinst i en Giveaway hos henne, ett paket nålar från Milliners i size 11. Hon hade även skickat med ett tyg i fina färger. Thanks Tonya!

SWOON #4

Jag swoonar igen.
Och har delar färdiga för att sy ett par stycken till. De är roliga och lätta att sy, antagligen för att de är så stora block.





I tisdags var jag på spinnträff på hemslöjden, vi träffas en gång i månaden. Då pratar, spinner och fikar vi, i den ordningen.
 Den här gången så pratade Ann-Marie om en kurs hon hade varit på, att klippa och spinna och hantera alpackor. Hon har själv tre stycken!

Och sen så spann en del av oss också.

 Jag har glömt att visa "mina" grodor. De var väldigt aktiva för en månad sen.
