I can't show very much of the challenge I'm working on, but today I finished my May blocks in the Nature's Journey SAL.
And I have made two more Snenessar, pattern by Anette could be found HERE.

Partytime!
This weekend I will be partying with Chooky when she celebrates her Chookshed's 3rd birthday! And I really need a party to cheer me up after having had both sinusitis and inflammation in the ears. So after having no energy for anything I have a lot to do this weekend!
First up is this fabric I got in a challenge from Maja.
The challenge is to sew anything I want and I can use as many more fabrics I want. I can tell you, it's really been a challenge to come up with an idea to what to sew. But this week I got a pattern from Kerry in Australia in a swap and it will be perfect for this I think. It will all be revealed on June 5th, so you'll have to wait till then to see the result.
I also have to put a flange and binding on two quilts I will show at the yearly exhibition at Sprätthönsen. More about that later.
Now to prepare for the party, chill some bubbles, prepare an easy to do dinner and some nibbles!
If you want to join in with Chooky in her celebration you can sign up HERE!

FNwF - May
First I have to say a BIG Thank you to Cheryll for hosting us all last night for FNwF! Go and check out what everyone else was making, HERE!
I made this cute little pouch, it's only 9 cm high and all hand sewn.
I found the pattern in this Danish book, Flere patchwork tasker by Lise Szymanski, I've had for ages. It was fun to make even if it took quite some time!
I will link this to Vroomans quilts for her Let's book it 2015 in May.

Not much of knitting
I don't think I've used my knitting needles very much this winter but I have finished this Twist Again shawl for a friend. I hope she'll enjoy it!
I made a few more repeats in the border and I think it looks nice.
And tomorrow is FNwF hosted by the lovely Cheryll! Go and sign up HERE!

April SAL
My blocks for April in the Stitch-A-Long is done and Chooky doesn't have to crack the whip for me, but I can almost hear it in the background.
And I don't think I've shown you the blocks for March, here they are.
It feels so good to be on track with this Nature's Journey by Anni Downs.

A bit of this and that!
It's already a month since my retreat in Fegen with Sprätthönsen!
As always I had a wonderful weekend without any cooking just sewing all day long! I worked on my Mystery quilt I started last year and it's now with the quilter.
Åsa had finished hers and it looks completely different in her choice of colours.
I'm already longing for the next time, in October.
~~~~~
I needed a threadcatcher and found a tutorial at Fiona's blog, all nice and easy until it was finished and I couldn't understand why it looked like it did!!
I'm a terrible pattern reader, I had made an octagon instead of an hexagon. Well it turned out alright anyway!
~~~~~
My DD had a birthday so I made her a bucket with the fabric that remained after I had made her the cushions for Christmas.
~~~~~
Don't forget about FNSI coming up this Friday! You can sign up for it HERE!
FNwF and Snenesserally
Friday night Cheryll hosted FNwF and I sewed along with a bunch of cyberfriends. Thanks Cheryll for organising us all! Go HERE to see what everyone else was doing.
I was working on the Modern Millie quilt I started when taking a workshop for the talented Diane last Saturday. The quilt is from the book Contemporary Curved Quilts.
This is how the block looks like.
About the Snenesserally: Snenesse is just the name of the bag and the rally is a giveaway going on in Sweden. I won it from Tankar om tyg and now it's my turn to have a giveaway and pick a winner who get these fabrics and the pattern in Swedish, so I'm sorry but this giveaway is only for Swedish peeps.
Make a comment on this post if you'd like to win the fabric and make your own Snenesse, then you have to follow the rules and fill up with fabric and have a giveaway on your own blog. I'll pick a winner on this coming Friday night.
By the way, this is what my Snenesse looks like and these were the fabrics I won.
FNSI and "Snenesse"
Just a quick note to let you all know that I did some sewing on Friday night at the FNSI hosted by the wonderful Wendy, Thanks Wendy!
I finished this "Snenesse" I started at the retreat last weekend.
It turned out very nice!
In my next post I will tell you a little about both the "snenesse" and the retreat.
These two were the highlight of this gloomy and cold day today! I have seen cranes for about 3 weeks but haven't had a chance to take a photo before.
Very late report from FNwF and Vrigstad
I was at a knit retreat in Vrigstad and knitted amongst a lot of other ladies the whole weekend. Very relaxing, just had to be in time for every meal! I already long for the next time. Here's a photo of one corner.
And here's one from Sunday when Vasaloppet was going on and almost everyone was facing the telly.
I started and finished a hat, it feels great on my head but is way to warm to wear in this nice weather we're having at the moment.
And tomorrow I'm leaving for a quilt retreat this weekend.
I sure could get used to this retreat life I think!
SAL - February
I was a day late to report my February blocks in the SAL, but here they are, and I promise to do better in March.
Initial Heart Swap
I took part in the Initial Heart Swap organized by the lovely Cheryll.
I was to send to Andrea, and made her this felt heart. And enclosed the chocolate box called "with Love"
I received this gorgeous needles and hooks roll from Tracy! Thank you so much Tracy, it's just what I needed! It's funny, I've mad quite a few like this to give away but never one for me. Now I've got one and I love the fabric she used in it!
