My weekend!

I joined with Cheryll in the Friday Night with Friends but can't show anything because it is a secret for a mug rug swap I'm in. But pop over to see what everyone else was doing HERE!

I went to an opening of an exhibition for my second cousin Hanna. She is so talented and has been accepted to an art school in Florida, USA. And OF COURSE I forgot to take a photo of her standing beside her pictures. So I'm borrowing the pictures from her blog but now they were nicely framed. Here are my favourites

I started the evening a bit late but still had time to finish this Birdie Pincushion.

I think it's quite cute and it is a free pattern from Sharon Holland Design and could be found HERE.

I hope your Eater is a relaxing one! We are having the nicest weather we have had for a long time, yesterday it felt almost like summer!

Easter swap!

Last week I received my Mini in the 12" Mini swap organised by our great swap Mama Cheryll.

It was from Florence in France and Oh my! how lovely it is!

I sent to Sue in Jersey, England. She told me she likes it so noone's happier than I!

Friday night sewing!

I joined Cheryll for FNWF and finished sewing the binding on my Garden Fence tablerunner.

The honeysuckle in the background doesn't look much right now but soon it will become green with lots and lots of flowers!

I pieced the backside also and think it turned out nice.

I've made another small purse and this one I'm keeping for myself.

We've had a wonderful weather all weekend and this has been my view when I had my coffee in the sun!

FNSI

Last night was Friday Night Sew In organised by Wendy and I actually got a few things done. First I finished a small bag for a birthday girl. Fingers crossed she'll like it! Pop over to Wendy and see what all the others were up to!

Then after a while I had an Egret come to stay with me. It's a pattern I've been testing for Juliet @ Tartankiwi. He turned out great I think and perhaps I'll make a cushion out of him.

Ouuuch!

When I was coming home from work earlier today I closed the car door and it took me a second or two before I realised I had squeezed my thumb in between. Ouch! Tonight it looks even worse and is aching and pounding like h-ll.

I hope it'll be better tomorrow because I'm off to a Knit camp in Vrigstad for the weekend. So I hope I'll be able to hold the knitting needles. Because I'm bringing a lot of different work with me.


Last Friday I joined Wendy in the FNSI and worked on a block for a swap, and did some knitting. There's a lot of knitting going on at the moment. I'm so glad that mojo has come back!

I've finished my Tam, it was so fun to knit. But is a bit too warm at the moment, seems like spring is coming. Yeay!

I've also been test knitting these two childrens hats for a book.

I really like them with the earflaps!
Let's see if I can get some sleep before I'm off to Vrigstad tomorrow!

I wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day!

My day will for sure be happy because I'm going to the Stockholm Syfestival. I think it's the biggest craft fair in Sweden.
Me and my friends are taking the train to the capital city early Friday morning and are staying till Saturday. Of course we're going to have some Happy days!

Initial Heart Swap

I took part in this Valentine's day swap organised by Cheryll, a terrific swap mama! Thank you Cheryll for all the fun you do for us!

I was partnered with Laurie from New Zealand and got this beautiful hanging Heart and some Turkish delight and a wooden bear.

This is what I sent to Laurie.            

 

Inside was a purse and a chocolate box.

 On the inside of the purse I had a fabric with some tiny hearts on it.

FNWF

My friday night was spent with 65 other lovely ladies. We were all organised by Cheryll who once a month organise the Friday Night With Friends for anyone to join in. So don't forget to sign up for the first friday of every month.
I spent my night cutting, sewing and knitting.
I'm working on a new tablerunner and it's looking good so far. This is what it looks like at the moment.

As usual I ended up on the couch with a knitting. It's actually a bit more fun to knit now than it's been recently. Perhaps because I've started a few new things.
One of them is a tam, I found the pattern in a book but can't remember the books name. Typical! At least I've still got the pattern! Here it is right now.

I've also started on a new shawl, but I'll save that one for later.
