This is the only thing I made for FNSI - the start of a piano border for my mothers quilt. I do hope it will be finished for Christmas.
Well I guess if I focus on that, then it will.

I love it!
When I find a squishy parcel in my mailbox, that is.
The other week I got one from Sue, a beautiful cushion which was my PIF gift from her.
It's a beautiful cushion and it goes so well with my sofa! She also sent me a lovely fabric and card, I have never seen one like it before.
I was also partnered with her in the Quilting block swaps Australia and got this beautiful block.
And this is the block I made for Sue. Since she has already got it I know that she likes it!
Thank you so much Sue for all the lovely things!

Habo
I can't believe it's more than a week since I got home from Habo. But it's been a really hectic one.
I did have a great time with friends and just enjoying the time away.
I finished my socks
and started my Rams and yowes, it will sure take some time to knit but will look the best when finished.
And I dyed some yarn with Jeaba colours.
It was hard to see what colour it would be when finished but I think they turned out quite ok.
This is where I spent most of the time
THANKS a lot to Anna and Carin (yes they are twin sister) and their daughters who helped out in the kitchen!
When I got home I had to start a Boxy after I had seen Anitas. Don't have a lot to do at all!

My weekend will be fun!
I'm off to a knitting camp over the weekend.
Don't have to cook, clean or do the dishes. Just have to knit, chat and have fun!
This is the place wher I'll stay, beautifully located at the shore of the lake Vättern.
Have fun you too!

Over at Donna's
Donna is having a giveaway with Lecien fabrics and a quilt pattern. Go check it out at her Lavender Nest!
Socktober
I haven't knit any socks for a long time and since it's october I had to try Neely O'Hara by Liz Abinante. The thing is, if you knit at least 1 sock by the 16th (well that's tomorrow) you will get another pattern for free. So I did finish the first sock and have started the second one too.
It's a really nice pattern, easy to knit and the kind of heel that I like. And it fits perfectly!

Butterflies!
No, not in my stomach. They're actually on this cushion cover that's now whinging it's way over to Australia.
It's a swap held by Sue with QUILTED HUGS. And I can't reveal who's getting it until it's reached it's destination.
I found the sky fabric when I was in France last month. I had looked for some here but hadn't found any so it was perfect.
Now I only hope the new owner will like it! Could there be some butterflies anywhere? Don't think so, at least I am more than happy with it!
Last month I also won these 9 lovely FQs over at Very Berry Handmade sponsored by Backstitch!
It's the Bungle Jungle by Tim and Beck from Moda. It really is a nice line!

OASS Spring
I took part in the Once In A Season swap over at Gone Stitchin', and yesterday I had a squishy mail in the post box.
It was from lovely Lorraine in New Zealand with the blog Craft"n"Sew. I felt so lucky when I opened the parcel and saw this beautiful bag with a BIRD on it (I do love my birds). She had even put a coin in it for luck!
She had also included this beautiful FQ "Truly New Zealand". Thank you so very much Lorraine!
The bag will certainly come in handy because on Thursday I will take off for France for a couple of days. I will go with some friends to Arles, it's near Marseille. We will stay with Medeas in her studio.

Spring is coming!
At least in some parts of the world. The southern hemisphere that is.So over at QBSA there is a Spring Fling give away for members and followers!
You could win some Cameo by Amy Butler.
I wish the spring was coming here also. Right now, in the middle of the night, it's just 4 degrees outside. And it should still be summer!
At least I had a nice and warm week in Crete. It was 35 degrees during the days and almost 30 in the nights. I think the water was almost 30 degrees also. Simply wonderful!
